There’s something really satisfying about walking your hand made 17 foot kayak down the street to the lake for a few quick laps.

It draws some attention. Got to meet a Neighbor who has a Polynesian outrigger canoe.

Last fall Melissa came paddling with me and some buds in spicy water. She ended up capsized and while I was helping her get back in her boat and that’s when it dawned on me that her boat didn’t have deck lines. It makes recoveries a lot harder.

Today I added deck lines to her boat!

And I’ve got an axe to grind. Well, I already ground it.

What's a workshop?

Workshop can mean all kinds of things. I’m writing this from my basement workshop. Being out in the kayak on the ocean is also like a workshop. I guess this blog will be my own way of thinking and sharing. If people find it so be it. If they don’t, so be it.
